From playgroup to matric, The Petrichor School provides high-quality education, three daily meals, safe accommodation,
Qur’an learning, and character development – completely free of cost for deserving children, purely for the sake of Allah and with the support of generous donors.

Where vulnerable children find dignity, learning, and a future

The Petrichor School is a dedicated welfare education project of Jamia Bait-ul-Ateeq Trust, Karachi.
Here, more than 300+ orphaned, needy, and low-income boys and girls receive full free schooling from playgroup to matric.

Students are not only taught formal academics; they also learn:
Qur’an (Nazirah and Hifz), Islamic values, discipline, manners, emotional resilience, and basic life skills that help them grow into responsible, confident young Muslims.
The entire school system – administration, curriculum, and tarbiyah – operates under the registered trust structure of Jamia Bait-ul-Ateeq.

What We Provide

The Petrichor School offers a fully free, dignity-based, child-centered learning environment.

From playgroup to matric, students receive structured classroom education with:

2. Qur’an & Islamic Tarbiyah

  • Nazirah Qur’an with tajweed
  • Opportunities for Hifz (memorisation)

  • Character-building and Seerah-based lessons

3. Accommodation & Meals

  • Safe hostel facilities for selected students
  • Support with clothing and bedding where needed
  • Three balanced meals every day – free of charge

4. Support, Tutoring & Enrichment

  • Extra classes for weaker students

5. Healthcare & Safety

  • Basic medical care and medicines when needed
  • Referral to hospitals in serious cases

Our goal is not only to educate but to nurture upright, confident, practicing Muslim children who can break the cycle of poverty and become a source of benefit for society.

Education Model & Admission Priorities

The Petrichor School is designed primarily for children who otherwise have no real access to quality education.

  • Priority is given to orphans, children of widows, and families in extremely weak financial conditions.
  • Admissions are granted after an interview, background verification, and assessment of family circumstances.
  • No admission fee, registration fee, or monthly tuition fee is taken from any student or guardian.
  • Progress is tracked through class reports, attendance, behaviour notes, and academic performance records.
  • Selected students are offered full boarding through Jamia’s hostel system.
100% of Zakat and Sadaqah received for The Petrichor School is spent strictly in accordance with Shar’i principles on eligible, deserving children under Jamia Bait-ul-Ateeq’s audited trust system.
